• He belived in a strong cenrtal government
• Wanted new forms of economic growth
• He promoted manufacturing and business
• Wanted to start a national bank so government could safely store there money
• Also wanted to build a national mint

JEFFERSON

• He wanted to protect the power to the states
• Believed that people should still have power
• Thought that farmers were the most independent voters
• Believed in strict construction of the constitution
• He also thought the bank would give to much power to the federal government
