  • Nutrients pollution- some waste water, fertilizers and sewage are examples.
  • Surface water pollution-natural water found on the earth surface like rivers, lakes, lagoons, and oceans.
  • Oxygen and depleting- These include aerobic and anaerobic organisms.
  • Ground water pollution- pesticides and chemicals that soaks into the ground.

  • Microbiological- viruses, bacteria and Protozoa that infect untreated water.
  • Suspended Matter- pollutants that do not easily dissolve in the water that can kill a quantic life.
  • Chemical water pollution- these include chemicals that are used to control weeds, insect, and pests.
  • Oil spillage- oil spills into bodily of water.

ANSWERS

  • By littering, throwing waste into water, flushing them down the toilet and rinsing them down the sink.
  • Never throw rubbish away. Always look for the correct waste bin. Use water wisely. Don't keep the water running if your not using it. Also don't throw chemicals, oils, paints and medicines down the sink drain or toilet.
