What is the climate and vegetation?
The Andes Mountains climate changes the higher up you go the colder it gets, the farther down you are the warmer it is. The climate depends on the elevation. Their are 4 climate zones as you go up or down the mountains. The vegetation is sparse assortment of mosses, lichens, and dwarf shrubs.

  • Only the Himalayas in Asia are higher than the Andes
  • The Andes region also includes valleys and high plateau
  • People living in the Andes grow crops on terraces cut into the mountains

Where is it located?
It is located primarily in Brazil, the rain forest is bounded to the north by Guiana Highlands, to the south by Brazil's central plateau, to the west by the Andes, and to the east by the Atlantic Ocean.

What is the climate and vegetation?
It is warm and humid year round. The vegetation is the Amazon rainforest that is right around that and goes through it. The rainforest has many insects, birds, plants and animals.
