We've Come So Far

Google 1998
It used to be GO ASK YOUR FATHER,

Then we looked everything up in the ENCYCLOPEDIA BRITANNICA,

Now it's ASK GOOGLE--the ENCYCLOPEDIA GALACTICA!

We've Come So Far

YouTube 2005
YouTube is a HUGE search engine--it was second behind Google until Bing bought Yahoo -- Now Bing is 2nd largest and YouTube is #3

What was something obscure you learned on YouTube?

Video is the new language of business-- do you speak it fluently yet?

AND not OR

It's not email OR social channels it's AND...
It's not in-person meetings OR virtual book clubs and online meetings, it's AND...

Today's "consumer" want's to contribute--

Those of us over 50 grew up in an era where we CONSUMED media. We watched so much television that we all know the words to Gilligan's island theme song--That show first aired Sept 26, 1964 and it was only produced for 3 seasons, but we sat watching the re-runs over and over and over.

Today's consumer wants to contribute--they blog, contribute to Wikipedia pages, social media pages, and posts, and they have a lot to contribute to your association and to your companies.
