WHAT IS A TORNADO?

  • Tornadoes are violent
  • Tornadoes can travel in a great speed and they cause terrible disasters.
  • A tornado looks like a cloud.
  • Tornadoes cause more disasters in hot temperatures.
  • Tornadoes can destroy you're building.

HOW DO TORNADOES FORM?

  • Some tornadoes for by thunderstorms.
  • They form by having a lot of air.
  • The rain and hail in a thunderstorm creates a windy tornado.

WHERE TORNADOES OCCUR?

  • A large thunder storm occurs in a cumulonimbus cloud.
  • A change wind direction and wind speed at high altitudes causes the air move horizontally.
  • Rising air from the ground pushes up the swirling air.
  • The funnel of swirling air is stuck.
  • The funnel grows are growing longer.
  • When the funnel touches the ground it becomes a tornado.
