• It gay marriage was legal, most of the population would be happier.
• 59% of whites support gay marriage.
• 56% of hispanics support gay marriage.
• 41% of blacks support gay marriage.
• An average of 52% of blacks, whites, and hispanics support gay marriage.

CONVINCING POINT 3

• If gay relationships are legal, gay marriage should be as well.
• About 21% of American men are gay.
• About 22% of American women are lesbians.
• Around 21.5% of the US population is gay, and would most likely like to get married someday.
• As of today, all of the data collected remains about the same.

OPPOSING IDEA 1

• Some people might say that it shouldn't be legal, because if they have kids, their kids will not be happy.
• They think that a child must have a father and a mother.
• They think that they need both genders to get the right influences.
• This is not true, because most children have role models of both genders to look up to, that are not parents.
• Even though children have other role models, their biggest role models are usually their parents.
• Children also usually support their parents views, such as gay marriage being legal.

OPPOSING IDEA 2

• Some might say that gay marriage and gay relationships are two different things.
• They think it is wrong to love the same sex, and have it be accepted by the law.
• This is not true though, because letting people be themselves should be legal.
