What is self-talk?

  • Internal monologue (your thoughts)
  • Expressed to yourself (internal/silent) or aloud

Self-Talk 101

  • It can be positive or negative
  • Self-talk reflects your beliefs and mindsets
  • You are the only person who can choose your self-talk
  • Self-talk is dynamic

Why does this matter?

  • Your get to CHOOSE your thoughts (how awesome is that?)
  • Your thoughts create your reality (your identity, what you see as possible for yourself + quality of life)

Now what?

  • "Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right"
  • Self-talk is a skill you build - it's a process and takes deliberate practice
