THE THINGS I USED TO FIND OUT IF THE RIER IS CLEAN

• A net to catch invertebrates
• We also used the invertebrate sheets
• Science teacher
• And used the river
• Our iPads and explain everything

WHAT DID WE DO AT THE RIVER
At the river we went to collect some invertebrates and also things that lived in it. We had to put the net next to a rock and then rub our feet against it, we did this to get the little invertebrates off the Rock and get it in out net.

Why I think the river is healthy and clean from dirt
I reckoned The river is healthy because we had found some invertebrates like a swimming mayflies, stenoperla stonefly and a smooth-cased caddisflies which had a sensitivity score of 10, 9 and 9. The river is non polluted because there is less run-off.

WHAT IS RUN OFF

• For our river the run-off comes from the Hunua Ranges, the run-off comes down the mountain and into the river.

FUST FLOWING

• The river is not fast flowing because it isn't flowing down the river rapidly and quickly.
• Some invertebrates that we court couldn't live in a fast flowing river.

DEVELOPMENT
The things I would like to change is to try make less run-off and also try to make the river clean as possible by not using poison chemicals on the farm land.
How would I do this I would first make a seed paragraph about why we should go organic then make poster a fundraise to make the poster go on the radio like Mr Brown

What is a Invertebrates
A invertebrates it a micro organism invertebrates that lives in a particular statement and in the right conditions. Some invertebrates live in river that are dirty and unstable for a invertebrate,that has the sensitivity score of 7,8,9,10.

MY CONCLUSION

• The river has less run-off
• It also has invertebrates which has a high sensitivity score.
• The river had flax that might help the river stay fresh and clean
