Lennie is important in the novel because he's one of the main character. He's George's copanion, most of the big scenes he's in it. He's a nice guy, he makes a good friend

George is another main character. He's important to the novel because he takes care of lennie.george relationship with lennie is complicated because lennie keeps getting him self in trouble. No matters what George protects lennie

Candy is another main character. His capanion, a dog, got shot in the back of the head. He immediately went to talk with someone.candy is more isolated then the rest of the people in the bunk house because he's the only old and crippled in the farm.
