Making mistakes, are a huge part of our lives. We constantly make them through the day, from forgetting to do the dishes or messing up a recipe. But Dr. Yadav, explains, these mistakes only help us to learn what and what not to do in the future. She says “Sort out all your failures and make sure you do not make the same mistakes again. Think of it as an action in the past that will make a better tomorrow for you”(Yadav 8). If we simply just forget about mistake, we made, we won’t learn anything. We need to look at what we did wrong, so that is the future we can make sure we don’t repeat those mistakes.

In the Scarlet Letter, by Nathaniel Hawthorn, Hester Prynne makes many mistakes. She was harshly punished for the mistakes she had made, which helped her to realize how serious her mistakes were. The backlash of her mistake, help her to understand how wrong she was, and that she needs to teach her own daughter not to repeat those mistakes.

“If I hadn’t taken those turns or gone down those paths… I wouldn’t be the person I am today”(Yadav 9), says Dr. Yadav. From our mistakes, we will gain many experiences, both good and bad. But each experience will help the form who we are, and things that we value. in every situation, we need to be able to look from different angles and birth perspectives, to Dr Yadav goes to share, “If I hadn’t taken those turns or gone down those paths… I wouldn’t be the person I am today”(Yadav 1). She tries to explain that each mistake teaches us a lesson, which plays a part in who we are and the values we hold. If we never make mistakes, we won’t be the person that we want to be. Without challenges in our lives, we become weak and have a hard time handling our mistakes. But the more mistakes we make the stronger we become, and the better we will handle other obstacles that will come our way.

In the Scarlet Letter, we see that Hester through her experiences through her mistakes, shefigures out that she loves to help others.

In summary, our mistakes allow us to grow stronger, and define who we really are through the experiences, we will face through our challenges. but they also will allow us to learn important lessons, that will help us in the future. Our mistakes will allow us to learn how to do what we messed up even better for tomorrow. So we should not be embarrassed of our mistakes, but embrace them. Because they make us who we are, and teaches lessons that will positively impact us in lives later on.
