Binomial Nomenclature is the system used to give each organism a universal name that is understood by people internationally. It uses the organisms genus, which is capitalized, and species,which is lowercase, names. The Snowshoe Hare's scientific name is Lepus americanus.

Adaptations

Snowshoe hares use their fur to blend in with their surroundings (Camoflauge)
Coat Changes between white and brown based on the season
Hares like to take dust baths, which help remove parasites from their body
Their large hind legs help them move through snow
