U.S. Ends slave trading with Africa.

When the U.S. ended trading slaves with Africa it had a huge impact on America. It changed a lot of people because they had to actually pay people because they couldn't get any slaves to work on farms or plantations. It also started the decline in slave trading with the U.S. to other countries like Brazil. One advantage to ending slave trading is that more jobs opened up for people. Also, it stopped people from harming other humans, and treating them like animals just because they were different. One disadvantage is that prices for food, clothing, wood, etc. went up because the owners had to start paying people.

James Madison became president.

James Madison became the 4th president of the United States. It made a huge impact on the Untied States and its developing constitution. He also changed a lot of the trading with European countries. The advantages to having James Madison as president is that he helped with the making of the bill of rights and the constitution. Some disadvantages were that he was a republican and democrat so making both parties happy was difficult.
