Distance an object travels in one unit of time.

It will take a short time to go around the track.

Energy in motion

This is in motion going up a hill.

Potential energy
Energy that is stored and held in readiness.

It is waiting to move.

The product of an object's mass and velocity.

This will gain momentum as the velocity changes.

The force that one surface exerts on another when the two rub against each other.

The brakes cause friction.
