PRESENTATION OUTLINE

RADIUS
Any line segment with one endpoint at the center of the circle and the other endpoint at a point on the circle.

DIAMETER
Any line segment that passes through the center with both endpoints on the circle.

CHORD
Any line segment that has it's endpoints on the circle. (Hint: a diameter is a special chord that goes through the center of a circle.)

CIRCLE
Is made up of all points in a plane that are the same distance from a given point in that plane, called the center.

POINT
A point is a location in space.

CENTER
The middle of a circle.

ACUTE ANGLE
Less than a right angle.

VERTEX
The common endpoint is the vertex of the of the angle.

RECTANGLE
Opposite sides are parallel; there are four right angles.

PARALLEL LINES
Lines that are always distance apart are parallel.
