I choose this picture because there are a lot of different shirts to pick from. They all may look similar but you might like one color or size shape better than the others so you pick that one to wear for the day.

Democracy : a form of government where the citizens hold the power. Making choices themselves or choosing representatives elect someone to carry out the decisions.

I choose this picture because there are a lot of different shirts to pick from. They all may look similar but you might like one color or size shape better than the others so you pick that one to wear for the day.

Direct Democracy: a form of government where the citizens vote in all of the decisions made by the government.

This picture has a bunch of people in it so that relates to how they would all vote. They would also vote the time in a direct democracy.

Parliament Democracy: A form of government where citizens elect representatives to make decisions for them, and the representatives elect someone to carry out the decisions.

I picked a chain because the people pick the representative and the representative picks someone to decide decisions. One with out the other wouldn’t really work. They are all linked together.

Presidential Democracy: A form of government where the citizens elect representatives and elect the person who will carry out the decisions.

I picked a tree because the roots are like the citizens as the foundation. The trunk and branches are the representative because they need the citizens to elect them. The leaves are like the president because they need the citizens to vote for them.

Monarchy: A system of government where one person is born into the role of making all of the decisions for a nation (king or queen)

I chose this photo because the pigeons are all lined up on a lamp post. When one of the flies away it’s making room for a new one to take its place.

Dictatorship: A system of government where one person controls the decision making through the military and police.

This picture reminds me of dictatorship because the person is alone at the end of dock. So it’s like how a dictator makes decisions alone.

Single-Party State: A nation where by law only one political party is allowed to rule.

Unitary: A political system where all power is controlled by one central government

I choose this photo because I think the big skyscraper is like the central government and then all the other buildings have to work around it.

Federal: A political system where power is shared between one central and local governments

I choose this photo because the different waterfalls feeding into the big river are like the local governments sharing power into the bigger government, like the rivers share water.

Confederal: A political system where power is mainly controlled by local governments.

I choose this photo because it like how farmers have better food for the area their grown from. That local governments have better laws for the local area.

Market Economy: An economic system that relies on markets to control the price of goods and services.

It’s like how farmer markets can control their own prices but on a much larger scale.

Command: An economic system where the government controls the prices of goods and services.

The government controls all the prices for goods and services in their own country.

Mixed: An economic system where the government controls some of the prices of goods and services.

Their might be some type of goods and services that the government decides but som are unique and have their own prices.
