Essential Question

What extremes does a society go to maintain power
This brings me to my essential question: What extremes does a society go to maintain power? within “The Hunger games”

Quotes

Quotes that I thought we’re important to story, and help bring attention an focus to my essential question:

“I lift my chin and stand as straight as I can. AThe cylinder begins to rise. For maybe fifteen second, I’m in darkness and then I can feel the metal plate pushing me out of the cylinder, into the open air. For a moment, my eyes are dazzled by the bright sunlight and I’m conscious only of a strong wind with hopeful smell of pine trees”( Collins 147).

This quote sets the scene and stress as Katniss is going to be thrown right into games head first, in a fight to the death to appease the Capitol and their twisted way of punishing kids to control their parents in the district.
Followed by:
“The I hear the legendary announcer, Claudia templesmith, as his voice booms all around me. ‘Ladies and gentleman, let the Seventy-fourth Hunger Games begin!’”

The hunger Games

Suzanne collins’s masterpiece
To conclude, Suzanne Collins made a masterpiece of a book and trilogy through book “The Hunger Games”. By highlighting the political, violent, and war in a dystopian era of America. Suzanne had much success as her story connected with all groups of people teens and adults. She displayed how controlling and corrupt and government can be, and how nasty humans can be to have power over one another.
