Biotic factor-

All living things in a Ecosystem

Within the biotic factors:
-Biosphere
-Ecosystem
-community
-population
-individual

Ecosystem-
a system formed by the interaction of a community of organisms with their environment.

Community-
Ecology. an assemblage of interacting populations occupying a given area.

Population-

A. the assemblage of a specific type of organism living in a given area.

B. all the individuals of one species in a given area.

Individual-

A. a single organism capable of independent existence.

B. a member of a compound organism or colony.

Ecosystem of a pond:

-Population of lily pads
-cattails
-Mosquitos
-frogs
-turtles

Ecosystem of a cornfield:

-artificially structured to favor the corn population
~beneficial insects

- discourage populations that hamper corn field
~ weeds, crows,& harmful Insects.
