mini mini golf course

Can you, as a class, create a mini mini golf course played in a box, with a marble and your own engineered golf club?

Each team will create one hole

for the course.

Constraints

  • 1 - 2 cardboard boxes or lids must be used
  • Have a goal where the golf ball is to end to complete the hole
  • Team name somewhere labeled on the hole that is visible

Constraints continued

  • Must be able to stand on its own
  • Must be playable
  • Make the course on top of the box or raised up so the "ball" can drop through
  • Each hole must be a polygon
  • Each hole must have one hazard that is a triangle

  • have one hazard that is a quadilateral
  • include one obtuse and one acute triangle
  • include one rectangular tee box that is 18 square centimeter

Materials

  • tape (fun duct tape), glue, boxes
  • construction paper
  • tissue paper
  • pipe cleaners
  • felt
  • blocks (the ones we used for simple machines)

  • play doh
  • foam squares
  • Legos
  • Anything else to make your hole innovative and creative.

We need a 9-hole course so we need to work out the groups for that and then choose your hole number.
