Waxing Cresent

The next phase is a waxing cresent. It happens when there is a shape that looks like a sideways similey face and it apears on the right side of the moon.

First Quarter

The first quarter happens when the right side of the moon is completely filled up.

This is after first quarter. It happens when you can see a little more than half, but not quite a full moon. It is still getting bigger from the right side.

Full Moon

This is the most known moon. It happens when you can see the whole face of the moon. It happens about halfway through the phases.

Waning Gibbous

This is the waning gibbous. When you look at it, the waning gibbous is a little smaller than a full moon. It appears on the left side this time.
