What are the major contributions of Medieval China?
The printing press- to make copying books easier and faster.
Coal: could be used to heat things instead of using up all of the wood.
Steel- used for about anything, armory, weaponry, and farm tools.
Compass- to tell direction
Gunpowder- for use in explosives, also used to make fireworks.

How did geography affect the development of the Chinese civilization?
Rivers, mountains, and deserts helped shape the Medieval China.

What did the social hierarchy of Feudal China look like?
Landowning aristocrat families owned large estates in early China.
Peasant farmers ranked up from merchants.
Merchants became rich, but farmers looked down on them.

My own question to research:
Who traded along the Silk Road?
Textbook
The people who traded were the merchants. In order to get good business they had to find new things to sell.

The Nobles:

The common people:
Peasant, farmers, and merchants

What are the major contributions of Medieval China?
Tea- tea was very popular in China, then spreader quickly to other countries. Tea is a delicious and heathy drink for you.

How did geography affect the development of the Chinese civilization?
The Huang He and the Yellow Sea have always been relied upon the Chinese civilization because it is one of there resources of survival. The Silk Road helped trade goods and make China wealthy.

My own question to research:
Who traded along the Silk Road?
Chinese merchants traveled along the Silk Road and carried crafted goods. Merchants made it possible for people to buy things that were made far away.
