WORST PAIN OF MY LIFE

In July of 2016, I enjoyed going out on a friend’s boat. We would go out at least 2-3 times a week.

One day, my friend decided to bring his tube, so I decided to go tubing behind the boat. His tube was one where two people could sit in it.

The next couple days, I noticed I had some pain in my lower back/tailbone area.

The pain worsened, to the point I could barely walk, so I went to my doctor. Turns out, I had a infected pilonidal cyst.

A Pilonidal cyst is a cyst on your tailbone. The doctor gave me some antibiotics to help with the pain.

The pain got so bad the next day, they had to admit me to the hospital.

They had to lance open the cyst and drain the infection. (Gross, I know!)

The relief of the pain was almost completely instant. I couldn’t have been any happier.

I spent two nights in the hospital, due to my blood pressure being higher than normal.

Unfortunately, I still had a cyst. But happily, it hasn’t gotten infected ever again. I couldn’t be happier about that.
