HISPANIC IMMIGRANTS

AUSTIN, COLTEN, SCOTT, CASEY

WHY THEY CAME TO THE US

  • Many Hispanic immigrants move to the US due to poor living conditions and a lack of available jobs. It's simply easier to make a living in the US than their home countries.

ETHNIC GROUPS

  • The Latina are moving into the US from Mexico.

Once they move into the country, the refugees have to find a new home. Many of the refugees are moving into states such California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and Texas.

ORGANIZATIONS

  • The primary organization helping the Latina is H.A.F, or Housing Assistance Foundation helps refugees find homes in the U.S.

The Latina people have brought many traditions from their home countries to America, such as a wide variety of foods. A popular traditions they celebrate is known as Dia de Los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, in which they celebrate those who have lost their lives with huge parties and parades.
