BLESSED ARE THE POOR IN SPIRIT, FOR THEIRS IS THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN
This can include actual poor people, or spiritualy poor people. When poor in spirit, we wait for god to call us to the church again. When he calls us to the church, we must strengthen our relationship with our father in heaven.
BLESSED ARE THEY WHO MOURN, FOR THEY WILL BE COMFORTED
Those who mourn are people who are sad for a loss of any kind. Jesus promises us comfort after suffering a loss. Becoming compassionate to others during a loss brings you closer to Jesus.
BLESSED ARE THE MEEK, FOR THEY WILL INHERIT THE LAND
Being meek is to be humble and patient. A person who resolves a conflict without violence is meek. These people will be rewarded by the angels and saints.
BLESSED ARE THEY WHO HUNGER AND THIRST FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS, FOR THEY WILL BE SATISFIED
The people who hunger for justice see wrongs and see a simple way to fix them. But those who hunger and thirst for righteousness will resolve the problem.
BLESSED ARE THE MERCIFUL, FOR THEY WILL BE SHOWN MERCY
Mercy has many meanings: forgiveness, kindness, compassion. Showing others mercy is started by showing it to yourself. With mercy, you receive back the more you give.
BLESSED ARE THE CLEAN OF HEART, FOR THEY WILL SEE GOD
People with innocence and lack malice are the clean of heart. They see God because nothing is clouding their vision. The clean of heart are also people who see God first in all situations and people.
BLESSED ARE THEY WHO ARE PERSECUTED FOR THE SAKE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, FOR THEIRS IS THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN
It is sometimes difficult to do what is right. But through Jesus, he teaches us what it is like to be a follower of Christ through doing the right thing.
