In two years since the mass shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, there have been at least 94 school shootings.

Weapon carrying in schools is becoming more popular than ever. Before you or your child becomes the next shooter/victim. think of all the other families who have lost their children in school shooting's.\

In Fact

  • - 20.8% of weapon carriers are white, 15.5 are hispanic, and 12.5 are African American
  • - Males carry weapons at school 3 times more than women do
  • -Most shooters are 15 to 19 years old

Did you know?

  • -There is no difference between grade levels in high schools
  • -The cause of most weapon carrying is that the carrier was a former bullying vituim
  • -Homicide is the third leading cause of death for teens with 85 percent being firearm related. while the other eight percent were caused by a piercing wound

In order to stop school shootings schools should have metal detectors and no weapons should be allowed on school premises .

The pledge is an organization that asks the students to pledge not to bring weapons to school. You now can take that pledge today to keep our school's safe!
