Desertion- Macie’s desertion from the battle had her punished by death.
Dixie- The Confederate would sing a song, “Dixie”.
Conscription- They had to begin conscription because there were not a lot of soldiers.
Drill- The drill began at the crack of dawn.
Dysentery- Anne had symptoms that are similar to Dysentery.
Envelopment- The envelopment caused the team to lose.
Emancipation- Mary was grateful for the emancipation, because she was a slave.
Flanks- The flanking movement caused the other team to fire.
