Story: Lord Krishna Introduced to Shri Radha

Once, a peacock was dancing graciously. Lord Krishna saw the peacock and ran after it to catch it. The peacock continued to run whilst dancing and Lord Krishna ran behind it whilst playing His flute. It was as though the peacock was Calling Lord Krishna, "Come with me, let me introduce you to someone."

The peacock took Lord Krishna to a town called Barsana. There, they arrived at Vrushbhanu's house. The peacock stood there. The daughter of Vrushbhanuji, Shri Radha, then arrived having fetched water from Yamuna ji.

The peacock introduced Radha ji, "Meet her, she is the beloved daughter of Vrushbhanu, Shri Radhika."

Lord Krishna saw Shri Radha for the first time. He was astounded. His flute remained in his hands and he forgot to play it.

Shri Radha noticed Lord Krishna was staring at her. She had never imagined that she will meet Lord Krishna in such a way so suddenly. Seeing her beloved, whose name her heart chanted constantly, she became shy.

In an attempt to cover her face with her veil, she forgot about the pot of water on her head, which fell and broke. Lord Krishna burst out with laughter. Radhaji ran into to the house shyly. This was Shri Radha Krishna's first meeting.

Lord Krishna saw the peacock looking at him slant-eyed, asking," So, how was the meeting?"
Lord Krishna replied, "Thank you. What a great introduction you have made! To always remember this occasion, I will wear a peacock feather on my head from today".

This is the divine ornamention of pure love/ devotion.
