Nonrenewable Resource: A natural resource that can't be remade or regrown at a scale comparable to it's consumption.

Carcinogens: Substances capable of causing cancer in living tissues.

Fossil Fuel: A general term for buried combustible geologic deposits or organic materials formed from decayed plants and animals that have been converted to crude oil, coal, acid, natural gas, and heavy oils.

Pollution: The introduction of a harmful substance into the environment.

Nonpoint Source Pollution: A type of pollution caused by rainfall or snowmelt that moves over and through the ground.

Point Source Pollution: A type of pollution that is localized stationery from a pollution source that doesn't move.
