  • Formed in Liverpool in 1960. McCartney started a band with some friends

  • Originally called the Silver Beatles
  • Began touring the UK and quickly gained popularity
  • Famous songs included 'Let it Be,' 'Eleanor Rigby,' and 'Hey Jude.'
