Talking to God every where for every one
Larry Boa. Handbook on prayer

"Spiritual growth is impossible apart from the practice of prayer. Just as the key to quality relationships with other people is time spent in communication, so the key to a growing relationship with the personal God of heaven and earth is time invested in speaking to Him in prayer and listening to His voice in Scripture.
As central as these twin disciplines of prayer and Scripture are to our spiritual life, most believers in Christ are frustrated by hit-or-miss approaches to both. As a result, their time in prayer and the word can become unsatisfying, routine, and even boring. It is no surprise, then, that most ypeople spend a minimal amount of time in either of these disciplines and fail to develop intimacy with the One for whom they were created."

3For many Americans, every day is a day of prayer. More than half (55%) of Americans said they pray every day, according to a 2013 Pew Research Center survey, while 23% said they pray weekly or monthly and 21% said they seldom or never pray. Even among those who are religiously unaffiliated, 21% said they pray daily. Women (65%) are more likely than men (46%) to pray every day. Older people (60%) are more likely than younger adults (45%) to say they pray daily.

PETITIONS

LIST OF WHAT I LACK
Lists of what we are in need of......what we lack

We are encouraged to ask in several passages of Scripture......here is one example in

Matthew 7
7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
9 “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets

THANKSGIVING

GRACE OF GOD AT WORK
Same word used to describe communion, The Lord's Supper

To give thanks to God for the obvious growth in a person's life because of the grace of God at work in them......

Deliverance from a besetting sin

Immature attitude

Reconciliation etc.

Often due to a testimony from the person directly or a good report as Paul often does....thanks God for the progress he hears of....

As he does for the Ephesians Christians in 1:15. 5

For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people,6 I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. 17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit[f] of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better......

Oh. Today would be a good day to say thanks for the encourages in your life......

Ransom purchased.......

1 Cor 6:18-20

18 Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. 19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies

Live like you are redeemed, not like you are in bondage

NAME ON THE FRONT

PRAYER REQUEST ON THE BACK
RA Torrey in his book How to Pray.....

It is through prayer that my sin is brought to light, my most hidden sin. As I kneel before God and pray, “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: and see if there be any wicked way in me,” (Ps. 139:23, 24), God shoots the penetrating rays of His light into the innermost recesses of my heart, and the sins I never suspected are brought to view. In answer to prayer, God washes me from mine iniquity and cleanses me from my sin (Ps. 51:2).

In answer to prayer my eyes are opened to behold wondrous things out of God’s Word (Ps. 119:18).

In answer to prayer I get wisdom to know God’s way (Jas. 1:5) and strength to walk in it. As I meet God in prayer and gaze into His face, I am changed into His own image from glory to glory (2 Cor. 3:18). Each day of true prayer life finds me liker to my glorious Lord."
