  • President Wilson campaigned for the ratification of the treaty of Versailles and the League of Nations to the people. The treaty consisted of 440 articles, but the first twenty six describe covenant of the League of Nations. Wilson had a different view on the League of Nations and the covenants Tenth Article then his political foe Henry Cabot lodge. But Wilson suffered a stroke in 1919 and the treaty was voted down.
