Situation A man is leaving work where he sees a man trying to lock pick his vehicle, he approaches the man, the assailant pulls out a gun and points it at said man, the man is a conceal carrier and pulls his own firearm out and fatally shooting the assailant.
How to prove- Self defense is justified even if the aggressor didn't actually mean the perceived victim any harm,in these situations it's whether what a "reasonable person" in the same situation would have perceived an immediate threat or harm...
(How to prove continued) The victim should have a genuine fear of imminent physical harm or danger. Without a "stand your ground law" the victim must take any way out of the situation if possible, but with the "stand your ground law" a victim may fight back.
