One day a man named Bill Martin Jr, asked Eric to help illustrate a book for him. Brown Bear Brown Bear was the book that helped kick off Carle's Career.

His first book was 1,2,3 To The Zoo, and the next was The Very Hungry Caterpillar, which happens to be a favorite of mine.

Eric's art is very original and unique. He also adds other characteristics to his books, such as holes through the fruit/veggies that the caterpillar eats, and much more.

He has made reading fun for my family, and I'm sure for many others as well. He still selling millions of copies of his books today.
