PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Post-Production

Of our Music Video, Website, and Digipack

Music Video

Firstly we used Adobe Premiere Pro to edit our music video. We first started by dragging the clips we would like to use to the bin folder which then made it easier for us to look for specific parts since it had been narrowed down. We then dragged the desired clips onto the timeline and aligned them so that the recorded music playing in the background was synchronized in all channels. We also used the color grading effect on Premiere Pro to slightly enhance the red color, making the video appear more 'bright red'.

We realized that after we dragged the original music track onto the timeline, aligning it with the lip sync of the artist, the sound seemed to be a bit distorted, specially on the kick sound. I soon realized that it was due to clip distortion, meaning the sound of the original track was going over 0dB on the mixer, something that should never happen because it makes the track distort. We brought the levels of the track down to the point where the loudest part in the song did not go over 0dB, and this solved the issue.

Website

In the post production stage of our website we did not use many technologies, as we basically responded to feedback and made layout corrections using 'wix' itself. Wix's simplicity allowed us to simply have to click and drag items in order to make corrections, or if needed clicked on 'edit text' in order to make some textual corrections. However, we were also told in some feedback that the website needed some more content, as well as more pictures, and in order to add we had to re-edit our website. Therefore we still had to use Photoshop for the creation of new items.

After responding to the feedback, not mushc else really had to be done to it. As all we had to do for post production then was make the website accessible to the public. This was done on Wix.com itself. We basically just logged in, clicked on 'preview website' which then redirected us to a new page where we then pressed 'make your website go live now'.

Album

Firstly we used Pixelmator as our image editing software. We used pixelmator for the front cover by firstly cropping out Joe Helmen out of one layer, and copying the cropped part. Then pasting it on a new black layer. Next on the background layer we added an effect called 'motion' which gave the impression that the whole background was moving whilst Joe was still. This makes our artist represented slightly more synthetically rather than organixally. In order to perfect we used the colour grading tool to really enhance the colours and make the image more vivid and clear. Lastly we used photoshop to create the writing seen in the back cover.
