What made Rosa Parks a hero?

I think it's because of the fact that she helped African Americans get equal rights!

Goal
She wanted African Americans to have equal rights.

One challenge she faced was that she had to drop out of school to care for her ill grandmother.

How She Overcame Challenges
Rosa Parks didn't run away from a problem instead she fights through it like when she got arrested for not giving her seat to a white man she stood up for what she believed in.

Why She Is A Hero Today
When refused to give her seat to a white man one day in 1955 on a Montgomery Alabama city bus,Rosa Parks helped initiate the civil rights movement in the US and now blacks and whites are treated equally!

Rosa Parks was born on February 4,1913 in Tuskegee Alabama.

Rosa Parks died October 24,2005 of natural causes.

In December of 1955 she refused to give up her seat to a white man on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama even though she was threatened to be arrested.

When Rosa Parks was 19 years old she married a barber named Raymond.

In December 1943 Rosa joined the Montgomery chapter of the NAACP and became the secretary.

Biggest Accomplishment
She helped initiate the civil rights movement in the US to give blacks and whites equal rights.
