Movie Symbol

• cannot see it play while in flash (must command-enter)
• default symbol setting
• can’t control it (loop, single frame, etc)
• can attach code
• does not need exact amount of frames in the timeline

Graphic Symbol

• can see it play while in flash (don't have to command-enter)
• can control it (loop, single frame, etc)
• can’t attach code
• does need exact time in the timeline to play smoothly

Movie Symbols will only play
when command-enter is pressed.

In order to make a Graphic Symbol animate you can go into the symbol and edit there and then match up the number of frames on the timeline.
