APOLLO AND THE PYTHON

• Apollo killed a giant snake called the python at four days
• The python had been harassing Apollo's mother
• The python was the oracle, delphi who could answer anything from the past or future
• Jupiter was angry because now he couldnt go to delphi to figure out the future
• taught him the art of prophecy, so he could take over the role pf delphi
