  • Instead, change your dog's activities

Check The Weather

  • Weather conditions such as humidity and rain can affect joints.
  • Avoid vigorous activities during heavy rains
  • Avoid mud, it can make it difficult for your dog to walk through
  • Be cautious of temperature
  • Remember --- dogs are prone to heat strokes and frost bite. 

Schedule Walks

  • Schedule 10-15 minute walks each day
  • Over time you can gradually increase their walk times
  • Combine your walking schedule with a healthy diet
  • You may have your dog walking over an hour in a few months

Get Wet

  • Water exercises are effective and gentle on joints
  • This is a great low-impact activity for dogs
  • It can help them to stay fit and give joints a good work out
  • A few laps in the shallow end can replace some walks
