• The name Amponsa originates from Ghana.
• It is most common in the ashanti region.

ASHANTI REGION

• Ashanti region is located in the south of ghana in a city called kumasi.
• The Ashanti region is the 3rd largest of 10 regions in ghana.

Although Twi is spoken by many, a lot of the language has been lost due to the English colony "The Gold Coast"colonising ghana and introducing the english language to the Ghanians.

• It is mandatory to speak and teach english in all schools in ghana.
• Since 1993 every president of ghana has been called John!
