Elements of Fantasy and The BFG

  • Setting
  • Characters
  • Real people: fake setting
  • Good v.s. evil
Elements of fantasy and the BFG
The setting starts out in a real world place, England, then moves to a place of Roald Dahl's imagination, Giant Country.

The characters are unrealistic because giants do not exist.

I am a real person who is in the Giant Country. Therefore, it is a real person in a fake place.

The good people (me and the BFG and the queen) are trying to conquer the evil people (the other giants).

My Favorite Part of the Book

  • Palace
  • Chair and table: BFG
  • Food gone
  • BFG ate it all
My favorite part of our story is when the BFG and I eat breakfast at the palace. The Queen's footmen have to make a enormous chair and table for the BFG. They gave him big utensils and food. The BFG eats all the food in a matter of seconds.

4 Snozzcumbers Rating

  • Interesting
  • Funny
  • BFG language
  • Unrealistic
My rating of this book is a four snozzcumbers. This book is interesting because you always have to ask, "Will they be okay?" This book is hard to understand at times because of the BFG's language. We would say, "I haven't been here in a while." He would say, "I ain't been 'round here for forever!" The book is funny because the BFG is always doing hilarious things. Like at the palace with the chair and the table. Or when the BFG whizzpopped for the Queen, telling her it was music! Most of all, this book is unrealistic. It is a work or fantasy, as stated before. I mean, giants and Giant Country don't necessarily exist in the real world, but they do in Roald Dahl's world!
