PRESENTATION OUTLINE

HOW MUCH WATER DOES THE AVERAGE WHEATGRASS PLANT NEED?

By: Britain, Rachel, Kaylyn, Ji'Mya, Stephanie, Isaac, Mauricio and Bernardo

The variable we changed was the quantity of water given.

PLANT DATA

  • When adding 5 millimeters of water, the plant grew significantly larger and healthier than the others with other quantities of water.
  • When adding 6.5 milliliters of water, the plant grew, but was weaker and didn't have as many stalks.
  • When adding 4 milliliters of water, it grew with the least progress of all the plants, and was weaker than the others.
  • When adding 8 milliliters of water, the plant died and did not grow at all.

Amount of water and how tall the plants grew. We did not include the dead plant.

Our result:

5 milliliters of water seems to be the perfect amount to give a small wheatgrass plant, 6.5 milliliters is too much water, 8 milliliters is way too much water, and 4 milliliters is not enough water.
