• there are 17 candy corns 
• there are 27 twix
• there are 47 snickers

• the kids save 2 of each candy for their parents.
• hint* there are 5 bags******
• how many pieces of candy are in each bag?
• after you took two of each candy away how many are there altogether?

ANSWERS

• #1 there is 5 bags after you take 2 away.
• #2 3 candy corns in each bag.
• #2  5 twix in each bag.
• #2  9 snickers in each bag.
• after you take 2 of each away there is 85 in all.

how I got the answers

• first I subtracted 2 of each candy.
• once you subtracted you would get 15 candy corn 25 twix and 45 snickers.
• then you figure out how many bags are there by guess and check.
• when you guess and check you get 5 bag.
• then you have to figure out how many are in each bag.

how I figured it out pt 2

• you have to do 15 divided by 5 and you get three, so you have 3 candy corns
• in each bag. then you have to do 25 divided by 5 and you get 5 in each bag.
• lastly you do 45 snickers divided by 5 bags and you get 9 snickers in each 
• then you have to figure out how many altogether and you do 25+45+15=85
