Scientific name: titan arum

It lives in western Sumatra rainforest’s, Indonesia.

It grows in moist, organic, well drained soil.

It eats dung beetles and flesh flies.

It generates heat which allows the stench to travel further.

This plant only blooms once every 7-9 years. Each bloom only lasts 24-36 hours.

This plant smells like rotting flesh and death when in bloom.

This plant has fruit! When ripen, it turns from a gold color, to orange, then a rich crimson.
