PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Federalism:

The idea that power is split between the national and state governments

I chose this picture because the capital (or White House) behind it represents where the power is of the government.

Independent Judiciary:

The idea that the Judicial Branch makes decisions without influence from the Legislative or Executive Branch

I put this photo because it’s showing the Judicial Branch at work so it would connect almost directly to the word without it just being the Judicial Branch

Legislative branch:

The part of government that creates laws. It is led by congress

This photo is the building (at least I think) where the legislative beach works and makes all the decisions of the government

Executive Branch:

The part of government that carries out laws. It is led by the president

This photo is of president Barak Obama when he was president signing a sheet. This is exactly (more or less) the executive branch

Judicial Branch:

The part of government that interprets laws. It is led by the Supreme Court

I put this photo because the Judicial Branch is led by the Supreme Court so the gabble makes sense in this instance

Constitution:

A written plan of government

I put this photo because as the word is constitution, I put the literal constitution behind it because the constitution is indeed a “written plan of government”

Preamble:

An introduction that states the purpose of a document

This photo represents this word because in the definition it says “an introduction that states the purpose of a document” so this photo is a direct connection because the photo is the introduction to the constitution “We the People....”

Article:

A section of the constitution

This photo is related to the word because as it says “a section of the constitution” the photo behind it is a section of a passage so it would make sense to put it there

Bill of rights:

The last part added to the constitution that lists all the rights given to US citizens

This photo is literally the bill of rights with each amendment so basically it is a direct connection to the word

Amendment:

A change to the constitution. It needs to be proposed and approved by a majority of US citizens

I put this photo behind because it says that it is a chance to the constitution so the photo is the 4th amendment so it would’ve had to be a change in the constitution and would’ve gone through the whole process
