PRESENTATION OUTLINE

By: Laura Hillenbrand

This book is about an Olympic runner who joined the air force in WW II, and crash landed to be rescued by the Japanese and become a POW
Prisoner of War

The story began in August 1929 when Louis saw the Graf Zeppelin, the German air ship. It took place mainly in Japan, Hawaii, and California.

This book is important because it shows what indurance really is.

THIS TALKS ABOUT

  • Louis Zamperini
  • His time as a POW
  • And what he accomplished after he was freed

Interesting Facts

  • Ran 5 Olympic Torches
  • Live for 97 years
  • Was the bombardier on a b24 bomber
  • Was lost at sea for 47 days
  • Was a bully and thief when he was young

The reader can learn about endurance and to never give up, like Louis Zamperini

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes adventure, and war.
I would not recommend this book to whoever cannot deal with immense sadness
