Computer programmers job
Computer programmers are the ones that test, write, update, and maintain the software. They make and keep the computers working and without them our computers would not work. They could be specialist in one area or generalists who specialize in everything.

Decimals: Decimals are a number in our base 10 set. Also, they are a fraction in a different form, for example 0.75 is 3/4 as a decimal. The decimal separates the ones place and is on the left side of the decimal, and the tenths place which is on the right side. It is used in money to know how much money you owe.

Fractions: Fractions are represented as a part of something. For example, if you cut a pie into fourths and ate 1 slice, you would have 3/4 left. These things help us in real life to help bake things as well. Also, what makes a fraction a fraction is that it is not a whole number. It is used when knowing how much of something you have left.

Percentages: Percentages are a percentage of something. Like if you get a 95 percent on a test you got an A. It is used when counting a score and for computer programmers it is used when putting a update into a computer and you have to send it. So you can see how much closer you are to sending it out. a percentage looks like this 80%.

How are all these related

  • they are the same way of writing something down but in a different form.
  • 50%, 5/10, 0.5

Fractions and other math used in computer programming:
Fractions are used in computer programming because they need to know how much or when updating or writing things, to know how much is left. In fractions, if part of the computer isn't working, they need to know how much of it is not working. For example, if there is 10 parts of the computer and the computer programmer needs to find out how much of it is not working, like 5/10.

College and Training

  • You need to go to a four year college
  • You need a bachelor's degree and a master's degree for a specific job
  • Depending on the job you want depends on the type of computer programming job.
  • For example, if you want to be just a regular computer programmer you need to study data base, development, and system design
