OMEGA-3 FATTY ACIDS

  • Reduce inflammation
  • Examples: salmon and walnuts

DARK-COLORED FRUIT, COFFEE, AND GINGER

  • helps build back more muscle
  • examples of dark fruit: raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, and plums
  • ginger is known as an anti-inflammatory

PROTEIN

  • An injury to a muscle puts the body in high demand for protein
  • Helps rebuild and strengthen muscles
  • Examples: chicken, turkey, eggs, and Greek yogurt

FLUIDS

  • water and electrolytes maintain balance in our muscles
  • drink frequently throughout the day to replenish our body
  • Examples: watermelon, water, Gatorade, other melons
