  • Winston Churchill, Joseph Stalin, Mao Zedong, and Adolf Hitler
  • The presidents were FDR, Harry Truman, and Dwight Eisenhower

STATE OF THE ECONOMY

  • Recovering from the Great Depression
  • Factories were making WW2 items

ART AND ARTIST

  • Abstract art started in 1943
  • Some artist are Franz Kine, Jackson Pollock, Willem de Kooning

  • Women modeled after that utility clothed produced during the war
  • The dresses had square shoulders, narrow hips, and it ended just below the knee
