WHAT CAN CLIMATE CHANGE DO TO THE WEATHER

  • Melt ice caps
  • Cause sea levels to rise
  • Cause heat waves
  • Cause storms

HOW CLIMATE CHANGE STARTS?

Rising green house gases can cause many terrible things. Rising green house gases can lead to temperature rise which leads to crops failing and weather patterns changing which leads to heat waves which can cause pollution damaging the heart of humans and this can also cause the sea level to rise, a shift in the ocean echo system, mass migration, economic disruption and it can also cause diseases to spread

BENEFITS OF CLIMATE CHANGE

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF CLIMATE CHANGE 😃

  • People living in cold countries have a less chance of dying from cold winters
  • Farmers have better farming seasons from longer summers

Even though there are benefits from climate change it is only for very few people that actually benefit from it and the rest of the world doesn’t benefit from climate change

HOW CLIMATE CHANGE AFFECTS THE WATER

Climate change affects the water by causing floods, tsunamis, warmer water, extreme rain and higher water

HOW MIGHT CLIMATE CHANGE AFFECT THE WORLD IN THE FUTURE?

Temperature will increase from 1.3C to 2.7C in 2050. Growing seasons will be longer, diseases will be more common and there will be more heat waves causing heat related diseases. Rainfall is expected to increase from 2%-12% by 2050 even though summers will be drier. More wildfires and diseases in forests. Over 70% of glaciers will have disappeared by 2100. Changes in river flow and river temperature will effect fish habitats and hydroelectric power. Their will be more water shortages causing competition between water users. Sea levels will continue to rise causing more sever flooding.

CLIMATE CHANGE IN THE PAST

CLIMATE CHANGE IN THE PAST

  • The heat in the land, air and ocean has increased by 90%
  • The upper 75m of the oceans temperature has increased between 0.09c and 0.13c between 1971 and 2010
  • The ocean has rose by 8 inches in the last century
  • Since 50 years ago snow has been melting faster
  • The oceans heat has increased by 302 degrees in the first 700 feet of the ocean since 1969
