Google APps for EDUCATION

One step at a time!
Each one of our Year 5s has an individual user ID and password. They self select from the ebooks we've made available and upload them to their own Google Books account.

They are free to use their Hudl2s to support them in Literacy and other curriculum areas by using Google Docs to write.

Most of this writing is currently printed and stuck in their normal exercise books.

Other GAFE Apps and facilities have not yet been explored.

Oxford Owl

Freely available, online books, self selection, book bands...
We began using Oxford Owl as an experiment before buying into any online/ebook system/collection.

This is now used as a supplement to other systems; a motivational tool for some reluctant readers and; to encourage parents to get involved - no cost!

Bug CLUB

Online books, questions, tasks, self and teacher selection...
We have bought into the Bug Club system for the whole school. Each pupil is allocated a user ID and password (which is kept the same for as many systems as possible).

The teacher can assign and monitor which books/tasks are completed.
