  • Between Canadian Shield & Western Cordillera
  • Sedimentary Bed Rock
  • Stretches from the arctic ocean to gulf of Mexico

Type of Glaciation

  • Affected by the glacial “Lake Agassiz”
  • Continental
  • Continental glaciers are huge lot of ice
  • Bigger than Alpine glaciers
  • Largest one of the ice-margin lakes

Glaciation Affecting Landforms

  • Left deposits (bedrock) to create a gently rolling landscape
  • Meltwater formed a lake: Lake Winnpeg & Manitoba
  • Floor covered with sediment, small portion remains
  • Glacial lake deposits and till plain: Some
  • Plateau Area  is covered by glacial deposits mantle of glacial till

Glaciers Affecting Humans

  • Over time they dragged minerals across the land
  • Resulted in it leaving mineral deposits in the soil
  • Soil became fertile plains
  • Use the land for farming
